Introducing myself

Hi !

I'm William from Québec, Canada. I just bought a nice 2002 ZTW dark blue with tan interior with MTX + Zetec. It's all loaded except it doesn't have leather seats nor moon roof. It had 56k KM (35k miles) on it when I got it about 3 weeks ago. I started modding it (no hard mods):

- Compustar 2W900FM-AS (alarm & starter)
- High perfomance windows tint (20 % back, 50 % front)
- Peripheral iPod2Car + Belkin TuneDok
- 4x Bridgestone Blizzak 15" tires with 15" rims (for winter - 16" stock mags for summer)
- 2x seat heater with massage (connected directly on 12V... no apparents cables or lighter plug)

Actually I plan to add:

- Clear corners
- Exon Science auto dimming mirror with compass, temperature and UV
- Leather seat covers if they look and feel good
- ...

I think that the Focus Wagon is one of the best looking wagon in the streets. I really enjoy mine.

I would like to know if another knows of leather seat covers look and feel. I went to my local junkyard (pintendre auto... who is supposed to be the world leader in auto recycling) but they didn't have the stock leather seats. I guess if I buy them from the US the shipping will be too high. So I'm thinking about covers.

Also, the plastics interior trim (C and D pillar and the liftgate interior trim) was damaged. I'm thinking about buying other trims OR cover them with something. Again I went to pintendre auto but they didn't have ANY of theses parts. What should I do ? I went to ebay but I didn't find thoses parts. Ordering them new from my Ford dealer is expensive (200 $ CAN only for the liftgate trim). So options are finding them used from another place (don't know where) or to cover them. Any idea on this ?

Also... the clutch is a little big high. I guess the last driver was not very skilled. I guess I have to replace the clutch if I want it right ? I remember replacing the clutch on my last car ('99 Corolla who was also driven by a not-skilled driver) was about 600 $ CAN. Any idea on this also ?

Thank you !

William

a man with a plan. You don't usually see many wagons, and I think it is pretty cool to see modded ones. You see tons of modded ZX-3's usually.
