Saw a Mustang GT today, and I want it!

You know how sometimes you drive by a car lot and see a car that just grabs your attention so much you have to stop and take a closer look? Well, that happened to me today. I wasn't even thinking about buying a Mustang, but this 2006 Mustang GT is frickin' GORGEOUS!

It just happens to be the exact exterior and internal colors I like and the polished aluminum wheels MAKE the car for me! It has the MACH 1000 sound system and manual tranny (which I require). The sticker is $29k and change. I can get it on A plan for $25k and change. I wasn't considering these cars because I was looking for better mileage and worried about future gas price increases. But looking at this car just makes me forget all that - scary.

What do you alll think? Buy it or keep looking?

Very very nice color combo. It's got to be a little better fuel economy than your Escape, right ? It'd be an easy decision for me..lol but it's not my money.

If it were me, I'd buy it, expecially for 4 thousand off MSRP. But I suspect you'll find a lot of people on here are anti-Mustang.

The interior is a little plain for my tastes, though... I like it better with the trim package that dresses it up.

It's actually much worse fuel economy than my Escape - 2.3L with manual. I get 25-30 mpg in the Escape - I can easily do 400+ miles in it on a tank of gas, and the gas tank is only 16.5 gals.

It sure is gorgeous.

I'd buy it, but I dunno. Try not to make an impulse purchase, will you kick yourself later with that mileage? Or will it be OK, because it's exactly the options you'd want?

Aaaah..I wasn't sure which drivetrain you had in your Escape. I assumed (wrongly) it was a V6. It'd still be a pretty easy decision for me, even under those circumstances.

Oh, that is exactly my diemna now. The car is so good looking - I'm even thinking about just keeping the Escape for daily driving. I don't really need two vehicles at the moment, but this would sure be fun on the weekends!

personally, i'd get it and trade in the escape. i couldn't pay that much for a car to just drive it on the weekends. plus, if you trade in the escape, you'll get even more money off the price. it'd be a no-brainer for me!
