Why not having boost sucks....

I was on the way home from Milwaukee this evening just cruising the speed limit minding my own business when I notice this '96 Eclipse GST playing catch up in the left lane. Next thing, he's venting his BOV at me repeatedly looking for some action. I didn't even try and I have my reasons.

Reason #1: I used to own one of those before the Focus and I know how those cars react and behave on the road. Even if I had a blower with an 8 lb pulley on it, I wouldn't stand a chance.

Reason #2: I've got my wife sleeping in the passenger seat, so, no way in hell was I going get lured in to this peckerneck. That last thing I need to hear is Mr. BOV on my left and my wife's mouth running like an N-1 exhaust on the right. Aggggh!

Reason #3: NO GOSHDARN F/I AT ALL!!!! That sucks and one day, I'm gonna just cash in the 401K and get boosted to end all confrontations.

I run into these asshats alot too. Boosted or cars that are twice what a Focus is out the showroom. I find that rolling down the window and without looking at them give them a back handed wave off. G35's, tuned WRX's, piss off....grow a pair and race cars that are at least in the same general grouping as your own.

Can't wait for the day when my SVT has a little BOV action of it's own, just to see the look on the G35 owners face when he realizes what he just got himself into

I didn't even look at him and acknowledge his actions, but damn, my right foot was wanting to go through the floor pan!!

I probably could have got a jump on him for like 3/10s of a second, but I didn't want to wake up the wife. She gets scared when she hears that intake growl...

you should have said, "lets go on a road course with a lot of hairpins, twisties and curves"
we all know how the focus loves those type of situations. a fellow member of the site and
myself went to an autox not to long ago and he was better than most of the Porsches running!!! and that superior German power and handling!!!
