annoying center console

in the 2005 focus zx4 is anyone else annoyed by the center consoles cupholders ability to rub against your calf and leg as you drive and iritate the sheet out of you
and also what if anything can/did you do about it,

I would like to meet the idiot designer who figured, hey lets put the cupholder right next to the drivers lower leg so it can be the most annoying aspect of the vehicle. stupid, stupid, stupid! I would rather have no cupholder
Roob

My only problem with the front cup holder is that you can never fit a large Dunkin Dounut ice coffee in them so I have to settle for the medium.

I like the cup holders in that spot if you put something in there go to shift then your hand is already there.
