Seven Pages?!

My I'm done thread went to SEVEN PAGES?! Arguing about Subarus?!

...for shame...

Anyway,

Thanks for the kind words, those who had them. To the Subie hater, you were an idiot LONG before that particular thread. How is the Vette doing anyway. Still ripping it up to 150 in 15 seconds there, winner?

Update:

Dealer says that the shifting problem is transmission internal and will be $3000 to replace. The transmission is 13 months old and they say they warranty them for 12 months. The service manager is seeing what he can do.

OK, here is the deal. I do not "hate Foci" I love them. I think that they are bad-ass cars. They need a lot of work to be fast, and let's be honest, they ARE Fords... but I still love them.

I just can't tolerate mine anymore and I don't see the logic in getting another car and getting the same thing I already had when I can get in to my dream car.

I see where you're coming from man. I've loved all of my cars (domestics up to and counting this one) RIGHT up until something goes wrong. I'm a man of the moment, and for the past ~6 months of moments (until I hit that tree... next monday I should get it back) I've been in love, but throw in recurring problems and I'll start eyeing my trade-in value, and chances are real good it wouldnt be a domestic.

I missed whatever thread you're refering to; what are you thinking to replace the Focus?

Sorry to hear about your problems. Hopefully in the meantime they can warranty the tranny and allow you to do some car shopping for something you may be happier with. Good luck with your search

Wow, thats a step up from a Focus. I assume you're prepared to take the shot in the stones for insurance, its not an option for me for another couple years, but by then the SVT will be getting old and its tradein will look nice as a down payment, as it currently stands tho I think Mitsubishi would get my business, I like the cut of the Evo a little better.

munkyv22...if you would like me to do an inquiry on the car, get me the last 8 of the VIN. I'll be happy to run it for you. I have access to our system at home, so anytime, day or night is good. It will let you know where the car was sold originally, the actual in-service and warranty start date, whether the car was leased/financed and to whom, and the options from the factory that were installed.

Anyway good luck with the new car to come! Them are nice and nice choice too.

Maybe you can come back and post pics, so blackandgold isn't alone.
