so they remodel in 05, then change a few things and give a few more options as in SAP for 06, then another remodel in 07? doesn't make much sense. why have your 2nd gen last only 2 years?

wait....they are going to ditch the Focus hatch.....are you kidding me, that would most certainly be a retarded idea b/c the hatch is one of their best sellers. I dont think theyll get rid of the hatch though, hatchbacks are coming back as you can see with the new caliber, as well as all of the subcompact cars that are being brought over from the rest of the world. No offense to you only sedan lovers but if Ford does this the new focus will be disappointing once again.

Hatchbacks ARE coming back, but as tall compact wagons (Caliber, Vibe, Matrix, HHR, PT Cruiser) or as B segments(Yaris, Fit, Versa)..

If you notice Cobalt, Sentra, Civic, Corolla etc.. none have a HB option..Actually the only Compact HB on the market right now are Mazda3 and Spectra5).

I am upset too, but as long as Fiesta/Ecosport are here by then, it can be bearable..

I just wanted to post a site confirming the redesign. It could be good, but it will probably be another sheet metal change only, or one performance model that is totally outclassed by the newer cars (ie, like the Neon SRT-4 a couple years ago).
