^^You think its a bad idea to make the escape look more "masculine"? Personally I think that'll be a good pay off for Ford as the escape is bought by parents for many teens. This will increase male interest in the car. Personally right now the escape to me looks femanine.

I think the New Ford desing is a good balance of Alpha Male and Alpha female appeal... Ford is playing it safe.. especially in light of decline of Alpha male in the USA and the proliferation of androgynoys males that respond well to alphpa male features and marketing..

For Clarification, DCX and Nissan are clearly targetting Alpha Males, while Honda and even Mazda are tagetting Alpha Females and Androgynous Males.

I like the current Escape's look, I think it's pretty masculine though. Not macho, I mean it's still little not like a tank, but it can look mean... certainly not girly.

I'll wait and see how the spyshots/real things progress though, before I really judge it. The Lincoln doesn't really strike me at all, I'm very blase about it.

Yeah.. not much change for the Lincoln as far as the skin goes. A bigger Escape??? I'm up in the air about that. Not that anyone ever really uses their Escape for 4 wheeling.. but smaller 4WD's tend to do better.

I nearly bought an Escape instead of the wagon. I like the little one, and I'd like to see what kind of fascia is going on this bigger one. I don't like the detraction from the lines and sizing of the current Escape. Ford tends to grow their vehicles out of the prospective buyer's range IMHO.

Where's my diesel Bill????????
