CF Hood+ SRI question

Ok, i just bought a K&N typhoon SRI and it places the filter twords the back of the engine (near the windshield) and it sits just under the hood. I figure that if I get a CF hood with functional scoop the air will blow right next to it. which would work exelently on a nice day. but im trying to figure out what i should do while it rainning. because i dont want water getting blown right onto my filter... is this something that I should just forget about doing or is there a way to make this work?
If it were my car i would just make something to stuff into the scoop every time it rainning but its for my brother who isent to into modding himself but i know he would love it if i did it for him. please help me out. oh, his car is a 2.2 ecotec 03 cavalier.

k heres what i got, lol, k cut out the whole in a circle shape, then get a 12inch pipe and run it straight up there car, then wled another pipe to that one aiming down the road, that way you can get the cold air flowing in, without worries to flooding the engine

you should do it, and to make it look even cooler you can ghetto rig it, instead of hiding all the piping and crap, DUCT TAPE IT ALL ON THE CAR, hahahahahah it would look sweet, in a crappy kinda way...

maby ill just rig some kind of air dam in front of the filter... it will decrease the effectiveness of the scoop but it would protect the filter from water splash. all and all i think it will still help somewhat.
