yep.....anything above a 2 inch lowering should be able to use all stock components, even shocks. They might degrade over time and eventually have to be replaced but....and yeah you can definitely still use yer stock rims
My car looks bad-ass and aggressive.....but it's a slowcus..nuff said----> i am, however, looking into the situation right now---AEM CAI down...exhaust next to come soon! Yay!

i believe that the ST has the same suspension as the SVT focus, except for the springs, im not sure how much lower it would get but that might not be a bad idea, but its only known to lower other foci about half an inch. And yea im not sure on how long the svt suspension will last but the other foci ones get premature wear so eventually youll have to replace the shocks and struts with better ones to match the new spring rate. IM sure theres someone on here whos put svt springs on the ST and can tell you how much it lowered it.

the ST uses SVT Dampers wit hstock springs.. you can get AMAZINGLY cheap lowering by simply buying the SVT springs ... you will have the full SVT suspension...

but yeah you can buy lower springs and simply keep the dampers if the drop is less than 2"... However people will claim that you will get better ride quality if you buy all of the components from the same kit: like the Pro System..
