Plastic Cover Piece......(pict)

OK, I had this piece on my old '00 ZTS, and my SVT didn't come with one, and I went to ford, and I saw the exploded view...no piece (at least not on 04's I guess)

I don't like how I can see through the hole, i want another piece, anybody else got one? I wil need to go around the junkyards i guess.....

it is on the right kick panel...I BELIEVE it covers the gas cutoff reset button.......

about the center of the pict....see it?

lemme know if you got it, and what year your car is, so I can narrow it down in the junkyards....

It doesn't cover the gas reset button. That hole IS the gas reset button. In case of a violent impact, the button will pop up disconnecting the gas supply. If you mean you downright have a whole through and through in your car, take a picture and show us.

Mine is a 2000, and that hole is wide open.

no, my old one had a cover or something....cause my old car was black, and you would see black through there if I didn't have a cover on it.....my SVT you can see red through the hole.....

I can't show you the old one cause that car was totaled..... i swear there was something there......

Ford deleted the switch cover on later models. Your old car may have had one, but Ford doesn't use them anymore. Guess that little 2-inch square of plastic was too expensive to keep using.

I did a little more digging. Here are the part numbers and colors:

1S4Z 54023A44-AAB Medium dark graphite (trim code ending in A)
1S4Z 54023A44-AAA Medium parchment (trim code ending in H)
1S4Z 54023A44-AAC Deep charcoal (trim code ending in W)

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, they don't offer it for the 05 and up.

AWESOME! It just buggs me......like how my 04 didn't come with a cig. lighter cap....so I had to get another one like the one for the lower console by the cup holder, and use it to cover the hole......

cool, problem solved!
