Question Newbee needs help

Alright I just started to upgrade my Zx5. I wanted to find out how in the hell do I get the speed restriction of 110 mph taken off of there? Also I bought an intake for $35 which in the long run ended up costing me around $350 to get it fixed the techs at the ford garage were saying something about a mass airflow sensor? I still have the intake is there anything I can do to salvage it or where can I find the right one or parts at? Thanks

The sensor has two little prongs that are very fragile and they probably broke, so send it back or buy a new mass air sensor

get a chip and make sure you tell them to remove it.

This forum has a wealth of knowledge from a number of people. I would suggest that before spending money on any mods either do a search or throw the question out to the group. Hindsight is 20/20 but my guess is input from this forum could have saved you $350.

As already mentioned, you would need to get a chip to have the speed limiter removed.
As far as the intake I would stay with stock until you could afford a decent one.....sounds like at $35 you got what you paid for.

Forgot to mention, look in the links section of this forum. It will give you many places to go when it comes to buying parts for your ZX5.

Open the passenger side door and look in the door jam.
Look for a 1 inch by 1 inch sticker with 3 letters and a number like LUY2.
This is your car's ECU code.

Or click here to find it on your ecu.

If the ECU code on the chip doesn't match yours, you can get the chip reprogrammed for about $35 to your ECU code.
