Angry Need Help!!! knocking noise clutch??

Ok, I dropped my car off at the dealer last night and they just called to tell me that the knocking noise that I am hearing in the front end is from my clutch and that a lot of the foci do this?!? This is my second one, I never heard this before, does anyone else have this problem? The car is 4 months old and I don't want to live with this noise for the rest of the time I have it.. help me out, any input appreciated!!

Tiffany

I would ask them to elaborate this theory, because I've never heard of this being normal. I could be wrong though, but still to me that just dont sound right. If it is from the clutch then why would it be making that type of noise? Are they sure its the clutch and not the flywheel?

Tiffany I would ask them how it is normal for the clutch to make that kind of noise, when it is so clearly not a issue you have ever heard before. Make them explain it girl.

hey hey. i just got my rims put on and i had a knonking noise when i pushed in the clutch or coasted in neutral. i thought it was the clutch, but i checked my lugnuts and it turned out two of the nuts were loose. check those. start small first, don't jump straight to the most expensive thing. my 2 cents

Thanks dwdgsi03 but the car is only 4 months old, I'm letting the dealer work it out. I am going to puch for them to elaborate and tell me why they think this is normal, if I don't like thier answer, I'll go to the GM of Ford yet again, he knows me by name.
Thanks!
Tiffany

The SVT has that problem, but it has a different trans/clutch/flywheel. My 00 Kona Focus had pretty much the same clunking noise. They replaced the TOB and it went away.
