It just isn't the same

Worked hard to get a 10 second slip. Oops on warm up I ran a 10.8. Now warned 11.5 or slower.....or else.
So now I beat ZL1 Camaro's running to the 1/8th and breaking at the 1000 ft. This isn't fun! Beat one with a 12.7 @ 66 mph.
Track warns me twice before each run now.. and even turns off my timing lights at the 1000 as a reminder, what have I done?

I had more boost to play with. More big boost tunes written to test... but it's all over.

Do you have a roll cage? Were you wearing a helmet? I know most drag strips around here require cars that run 12.99 or faster to have a roll cage and the driver must wear a helmet.

Bandimere Speedway here in Morrison doesn't require a partial roll setup til 11.99,helmets are required at 13.99 which at 5800ft asl that's actually pretty quick.

Helmet for all and roll bar for cars faster than 11.5, unless your car is 2008 or newer.

NHRA Amends Roll Bar/Cage Rules For '08-Later Street Vehicles - Dragzine

It seemed like they were overlooking the fact that my car is a 86 until now. I like the car to much to cut in a bar or cage.

That you may, but if you have more potential, wouldnt you want to do anything to get to there?

By the way, roll cages are badass.

GN is full frame. To install cage or bar you need to cut through chassis and weld to frame. Once done it's pretty hard to pull the chassis. Not to mention bars on the street are not safe, without a helmet.

Here is what it looked like after safety already spoke to me. Note lights going off during run.
