ZX2 with SVT

I know that you moderators might lock this right away, this no attempt at flaming, but I would like to reply to some of the post that were made while i was at work...

Focal you say that we put a zetec based engine in a zetec base car, and say whoopty doo. then why are you so bitter about it...you say you spoke with svt and they say it couldn't be done, did they tell you that at one time there was a concept SVT ZX2...same engine setup...also at the beginning of that thread you stated that it couldn't be done..well it has...

As far as the wiring, i done told you that i am running the zx2 wiring harness, the only part that had to be re-wired was the fuel harness....i didn't need to use the the different parts of the wiring harness because i am not run the dsm as you call it...therefore there is nothing really different about the engine compared to my stock zx2 one...vct is on a different cam and that is where we ran into problems of using my s/r ecu. but that has now been taken care of...

you also still wonder about the tranny, like i have said, my tranny already has been built up to handle the extra power....two, all of the engines have the same block, therefore the top of the bolt pattern for the tranny hook ups are the same, all that is different is the windage trays....you change those out and you can hook up the other tranny....

You also took it wrong when i said that i was not the main guy doing the swap. i was right there with my hands in the engine bay getting dirty just the same as he was...and as far as not having knowledge about cars, i have been around them all my life, most of my family are mechanics, i have helped them on cars and learned from them just the same...

Also I am a street racer through and through and most street races don't happen from stoplights, around here we go out and run on the highways, if that's not your way of racing so be it...after the vct adapter is finished, which i got the call today saying it was ready for a trial, i will be making a video and getting dynoed.. i will post them here for you guys...

* Edited - No personal attacks.

Stick around. There is a lot of asshats here. Don't worry about it. How fast is your Escort? Why did you choose the SVT engine instead of a V8 or something more powerful? Will the V8 conversions for the focus work on a ZX2? Where can I see the specifications for a stock S/R?

CincySR, where is the original post, I'm most interested in reading.......honestly I don't know why he thought that it would be that difficult.........was this a Focus or Contour Engine..........I would say the hardest thing to get working correctly would be the intake runners on the Focus SVT........We are getting ready to put an SVT Intake on a Zetec, so it is possible...........even though I have seen many people say that it isn't..........please post the link to that forum.......

he used the focus SVT the contours isnt a etec its a v6 i believe Duratec.

Here are the S/R Specs:Inceman intake,

Centerforce clutch,
B&M shifter,
Tokico Struts,
Energy Suspension Bushings,
Eibach Lowering Springs,
Borla Muffler,
2 different versions of the PCM (1 50 state legal, the other 45)
different rims / wider tires,
an lil apperance differences (ie. 150mph guages, badging, blue velve cover, "zx2" on teh seates leater steaing wheel ad shifter boot)

143-146HP(depending on PCM code) and 140t/tq

best seen run on a Stock S/R is a 15.4 usually more in the 15.6-15.8 range.

With attitude like that, this thread should be locked. Respect the mods, they locked the last thread for a reason and you have again thrown around personal slander remarks at someone else on this thread. That is not tolerated on here, debating opinions yes, slander someone in general no. Take it to PM or AIM if you have a problem with someone. Also read my last post in the locked thread, because it still applies.

Peace.

You were supposed to start a topic with no personal attacks, what you have done is wrong and you need to grow up.
