Idleing Problem????

My 2003 ZX-3 idles bad sometimes. It seems like the idle goes up and down every second. It sounds like it might shut off, but doesnt. The idle goes from 750 to 650 to 750 to 650 and so on. What might be the problem.

my dad's old mitsu galant used to do that, then the timing belt broke. i dont know if that is your problem, but i think you should take it into a mechanic asap.

2003? you gotta still be under warranty. don't even try to fix it yourself. it just gives them a reason to argue with you.

Mine does this when it's cold and I first start it up and get to a stop light.
I would take it to the dealer if it does it all the time.
You could check your TPS cable and make sure it's on there securely.

being a 2003, i highly doubt its anything like a DPFE (plus you would notice more), clogged egr, bad IAC or many other things. depending on what mods and how cold it is when it does it "sometimes"
