Anyone else encounter this?

When i am braking and coming to a stop somthing inside the car makes an annoying "EeEeEeEeE" sound. It sounds like its coming from around the glove compartment. I know its not the brake pads or anything, those are fine. Is there anything in the engine or inside the car in that general area that could be making such a noise? Thx

It could be your rear brakes, I have that same problem and thought the sound was coming from the front but it turned out it was the drums out back. Instead of having to replace the shoes on the drums every 20K or so I'm just upgrading to disk.

It's the brakes. Is it wet out when you hear the squealing?

Maybe you have a small rodent inside your glovebox. When you stop suddenly, it gets a little scared and screams,"EeEeEeEeEeEe".

Hrmmmm. Or maybe it's your brakes.

Brake lubricant might fix it.
