Whats the point of new spark plug wires?

I don't understand what they do. Do they increase anything? But most importantly, sould i get them?

the reduce the amount of resistance and give a better more consistent spark, you can see a slight increase in gas mileage and a smoother idle.

You're probably not gonna feel a difference. I wouldn't get them until you need to replace yours. And if you did get them I'd probably add a new coil as well.

i felt a very large difference with mine. not speed, but the engine smoothed over really really well. if you guys remember a long time ago my engine would lose slight slight amounts of power as you accelerated quickly for about a half second intervals. well fr 9mm spark plug wires got rid of that. you wouldnt believe how happy that made me, and all for 40 dollars.
