Bay Area Focus Fanatics, HELP!

Those who don't like back story, please skip this paragraph.

Hayward Ford tells me I have to change my brakes and they need to be done right away and my exhaust surging problem is caused by my air filter so clogged up. So I say, "Okay... thanks. I can do all that myself." Dude looks mad. I get home, and my breaks are fine. Plenty of life left. Lier lier pants on fire! I check my air filter... hmm... looks like it's brand spanking new from 2 months ago when I bought my SVT used in Sunnyvale. WHAT THE MONKEY IS ALL THAT ABOUT. I guess he thought I was level 1 on my car know how.
******

I'm not getting my SVT serviced at Hayward Ford anymore. However, does anyone have a tried and true service rep or dealer that you'd recommend in the California Bay Area? Or ones to stay away from?

Best dealership I've been to is The Ford Store, San Leandro... i've bought two cars there. best deals go on at memorial days with all the cash rebates. But that's beside the point. Everyone there seems knowledgable about the focus.

However for all my parts, I just go to Fremont Ford, which is only around the corner from me. Never taken my car in for any service yet...

try that place out (The ford Store)... if all else fails

For buying cars, I use Hayward Ford (so far I have bought 4 from them within the last year), but for maintenance, I use Magnussen's Ford (in Fremont).

Depends on how far you want to drive... Frontier Ford, Magnussen (Fremont) Ford, Dublin Ford, and Codiroli Ford are all good places.

Codiroli is in Livermore I think.

I used the Ford dealer in Dublin for warranty work (tailight, A/C) on my 01 Cobra and recall work on my 00R (e-brake, rear IRS knuckles). I was happy but I spent a lot of time communicating my expectations and would always stay there while they worked on the cars. No test drives off the lot without me in the cars.
