5spd Focus clutch, touchy?

I'm still having hard time with smooth shifting, particularly starting from dead stop. This guy who's driven my car also said the clutch on the Focus is touchy.

Would you guys say the clutch on the Focus is touchy and hard to use compared to say Subaru, Honda or Toyota?

I dont think the Focus has a touchy clutch. Its has a very very good feel. My 01 is smooth but after test driving a 05 ST there is a big difference in feel. The ST is so slick and smooth.

I don't think the clutch to my car is touchy. I used to drive a 97 Honda Civic. I like the Clutch on Focus way better than the Honda.

I dont know if id say touchy, but holy crap there is no weight to it at all.... You could fart and shift gears for crying out loud. I think they need more feeling, but thats just me!! But the car shifts smoothly, not rough I will give it that!

It's a hydraulic clutch pedal, so I'd imagine thats why you can't feel anything through the pedal.
