^^ I was thinking the exact same thing... it looks vintage but also looks so clean and well-preserved that it looks new, too.

That is a 1978 Kawasaki KZ750. The fairing is off a Beull and the seat is custom. I think I might make a new one, although I like that style of seat, that particular shape doesn't quite tickle my fancy.

gatmog.. it is obvious that its a inline twin. Not a one cylinder, and certainly not a V engine. Nice vintage bike. I have to get the fiancee to let me keep my V-65 magna.. I love that bike.

I am so excited about this. I've been drooling over cafe bikes for a long time. This one was just too good to pass on. It was inexpensive, LOTS of new parts, and its only an hour away. very cool.

picked it up last night.

so

freakin

AWESOME

Pictures don't do it justice. The thing is gorgeous. it looks mechanically pristine. It fires right up from cold and sounds awesome. the seat height is as perfect as it could be. the brakes are super strong, tires look brand new, forks show absolutely no sign of leaking, all the lights works... kickass! 60 hp of glorious freedom.

The only problem is that I don't know what to do with it. most of the stuff that I wanted to do, he already did. The list of things I might do has changed though. perhaps cut some new foam for the seat (its a little thin), the lower forks could be a little more polished, better mounting method for the fairing, it already has foam filters on it, maybe some sleeker rearview mirrors.

The only thing I might work on is the side mount bracket for the plate and taillight. He has it so the passenger pegs are removed (in true cafe style), and one of the pegs is used for the side mount bracket. It looks nice, but I might be able to come up with something better in the future. I might eventually come up with a quick change seat so that a passenger could ride along, so I'll need those pegs. For now, I'm just drooling over that day I'm able to get certified.
