I have seen Integras with 200K on them and know a guy in the DC area who has a 2000 ZX3 with 165K on it. It still runs strong as hell too. He is the original owner. The problem with these two cars and them lasting is the fact that they are used. Just remember that the last person who owned it may have run the SH** out of it.

I am a firm believer of Carfax. I can't remember how much it is but for a certain price, you can run like ten VINs in a month. I would aske them the standard questions about accidents, having any reciepts, etc. Get the VIN and run them through Carfax. You can also tell a lot by the dipstick and looking around the engine compartment, also crawl undernieth and look the under belly over for rust, scrapes, gouges, and such.

Integra hands down, I would wager my money on a Honda/Acura motor lasting longer than a Ford motor any day.

I have seen alot of crap box integras in my lifetime. The engine may run, I'd be more worried about the body. The Focus will be at least 6 years newer than the integra's body, and any car has the potential to last a long time if properly maintained. I had a 1988 VW Jetta with 250K miles on it, and never did any major mechanical repair on it, mostly things like brake pads wore out, need new struts, but the engine was a trooper, never any problems. My sister-in-law had an 89 VW Jetta with 89K and it had more problems than you could shake a fist at. Side by side they were identical cars. Hell, they were even the same color. You want to make sure you get maintenance reciepts and things of that nature. The Focus (with the possible exception of the 2000 model year) has already won rave reviews for initial quality and for quality to 100K miles. Beyond that only time will tell.

I agree with FT, on the fact that any cars well maintained can last a many years and miles.
