SVT really gone?

We all know ford is dropping the SVT name, but honestly, theyre not going to give up on SVT style cars. theyre only dropping the SVT name to get rid of any unwanted association with the badge. its going to end up getting renamed. it happens all the time.

What??? Would you care to enlighten the rest of us? I wasn't aware Ford was dropping the SVT name. With a commitment to a new SVT Mustang, SVT truck, and more in the pipeline, that doesn't sound like Ford is close to dropping the SVT name.

Not the line, Just the name itself...for example. The new Cobra is the Shelby GT500(At least the last time i read it was), Not the Ford SVT Cobra

Yes, I know that's what he meant. However if that were the case why would they have gone to the trouble to associate these vehicles with the SVT brand? His post sounds like it came from the middle of some other thread... rather than the first post of a new thread. I'm confused. If Ford has announced that they plan to drop the use of the SVT badge on their special vehicles that's news to me.

I was responding to Fordfreak3368... I'm not sure who you're talking to STSPEED? I agree with you, if Ford is dropping SVT that's news to me. Seems kind of stupid to work so hard to associate these new products with SVT only to not use that name ON the products.
