hitch/towing/transmission cooler

i recently installed a hitch on my 04 focus se and hauled my sportbike on a small utility trailer to get to and from the track. i followed all of the guidelines on weight restrictions, etc. my bike and trailer in total weight probably about 500 pounds. i believe total capacity shouldn't exceed 1200 pounds.

some people have mentioned that i might need to invest in a transmission cooler. i did a search on here on transmission cooler. from what i can tell, there is one in my car and i could possibly upgrade it. but do i need to or should i be ok hauling my bike a 100-400 miles one weekend a month with the stock cooler?

i apologize if this is an exhausted topic or if the answer is already posted somewhere on the forum. thanks in advance for your responses :)

a tranny cooler is really only needed for a automatic

with the light weight you pull and practically no frontal area on the trailer, shouldn't be any problem even on hills ( i haul more than that in the rear of my wagon )
