Paranoia ?

So I was thinking about car security today... about better ways to help lock up the car and products that are on the exterior, but don't come with "locks" stock...

I was thinking that if someone wanted to steal the antenna/base, rims/tires, brake calipers/drums, oil filter, corner bumper lenses, lower front grille/foglights, and possibly even other things. I just thought that if any of this happened to me, I'd be quite sad. I know that you can buy locking lug nuts that would keep the rims/tires/calipers/drums on the safer side, but what about the other items that don't have the same type of locking mechanisms available for them?

I'd be really sad if someone decided to steal my clear corners, shorty antenna, lower grille, and anything else that can just come off pretty easily. Anyone ever thought about this type of thing, or am I just being paranoid?

Cheers!

Vehicale alarm with proximity (spelling?) alarm possibly. Sensitivity set fairly low on aftermarket alarm can try and thwart would-be theifs. Sadly, if someone wants something they are going to take it...alarm going off or not. Additional option would be an alarm that pages you when activated.

You're being paranoid. As someone just said, if someone really wanted that JVC head unit, they just take it. Are those SVT mirrors you have there, Brad?

Yea, I suppose I was just thinking too much about it all. I agree that if someone is inclined to steal something, they are going to do it, no matter what security devices are in place. Such is the way of things I suppose.

Rob: My mirrors aren't off of the SVT, I've painted my stock mirrors and I think it turned out pretty nicely

Cheers!
