Bummer and thats the one thing I hate about Ford. My gf has a Mazda Protege and they would always offer her loaners on warranty service.

They will pretty much be rebuilding your tranny. I had the same thing done about 1500 miles ago and listed all the stuff they replaced. Now it's as smooth as butter.

Your write up may look a little like this:

1 1S4Z*7M163*AA GEAR - MAINSHAFT 3RD SPEED
1 YM2Z*7107*EB RING - 5TH SPEED SYNCHRO. BLOC
1 F5ZR*7K171*A BEARING
1 YS4Z*7230*AD FORK - 3RD AND 4TH SPEED
1 XS4Z*7A564*AA CYLINDER ASY - 3RD AND 4TH
1 97ZZ*7124*BC SYNCHRONIZER ASY - 3RD AND 4TH
1 TA*16* ADHESINVE
2 XT*M5*QS FLUID - TRANSMISSION

Haha that's REAL close to warranty!

I thought trannies weren't covered the full 36k though? Whatever pretty cool that they're paying for it, it'd be a lot more painful to see if you knew it was comig outta your pocket!
