annoying shift up light

does anybody know how to turn off the extremely annoying shift up light (if it can even be turned off) on a 2000 se. i really dont like my car telling me when to shift.

i know it can be at least adjusted with a chip...maybe even turned off idk.

i have noticed that the times it tells me to shift up i need to shift down...and it also adjust to how im driving...but i agree with you its annoying as all hell

well it tells me like hey i want you to shift up at 3500, and im like i dont wanna shift there. like if im just cruzin thru downtown in say like 2nd it'll tell me to shift up till i get to like 1500 but if i get on it, it'll go off until i start approaching the red line....i dont know, im just tired of lookin at it

I don't hardly ever see mine. I shift before it comes on most of the time. And when it does, I don't notice it. How about just taking out the bulb?
