Unhappy I just don't understand!

Is it beacuse of emission standards? Why in the birthplace of Ford, can't I get an RS!!! (or similar) I mean common!!!!!! It's not fair! Who do I write to? What marketing wiz decided that there was no "market" for a RS here? If I have to see the ASS end of and SRT-4 one more time!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone work for FORD out there?!?! TELL MY WHY!!!! Or I just might have to cry!!!!

hehe...well the Focus there is much more expensive than ours so they get more perks. Hopefully in time they will give the NA market an opportunity to buy these vehicles.

I say ford builds a US ONLY version so everyone else can whine that they dont have one since everyone else seems to get the stuff we want. Turbo charged, AWD, 280hp sounds good to me. Just keep it under $25,000 :/

A focus RS here would be to close in comparison to a mustang GT, since the stang is a key ford moniker they won't make another car to directly compete with it.

Ford will have to step up its sport compact marketing or just leave the focus as a econo car.

Ford has already decided to leave the Focus as an econo car. They shit canned the SVTF after 04 and are moving the SVT Lightning and Cobra upscale. I think Ford figures if people want a sporty compact car they will buy the mustang.

Ford hasn't said they will not bring the SVTF back, it is gone for now b/c of the intro of the duratec and the fact they don't have a perf model with this engine worked out yet.

Ford never said it was gone forever, only put off.

Ford knows people want a powerful compact car but maybe they do not feel there is a market for it.

Its not like dodge is really profiting from the SRT-4 program. The fact that subbie and mitsu can sell evos and STi's at the price they do is b/c they have been making these cars forever and slight chassis/drivetrain configurations aren't that pricey.

A focus RS is easily 30k+ in europe. I wouldn't pay that for an RS, its not worth it.

Some peole don't know the difference adn they WOULD pay that much, so you would think Ford might re-think shit canning it.

Well, my biggest reason for buying the SVTF was the $$$... I was trying to save some money on this ride, so I turned in my $28,000 Miata LS to get the SVTF. I'm very satisfied with it, but I want more! I want Power...AWD... something! However if I had to spend 30,000+ to get it...That put's me in a whole new class.... Mustange GT's , STI's, Evo VIII's.... Then the choice would be hard. So if Ford can't make one here for $25,000 (or less) which with out-sourced workers in Mexico.. it should, then maybe it wouldn't be worth it?!?! I just have to belive that they COULD and WOULD do it! The thought of me buying a RWD Mustang next time, and moving that sled through the Michigan winters....scares me! LOL
