It'll cost you WAY more then 10,000 to do a V8 in a focus. Check out www.fordracingparts.com and there is a PDF catalog with a TON of parts you will need for the swap.

you can do it for 10k if you budget well. We've done the 351 and can tell you first hand to go with a 302. the kit is made for 302 and all the brackets fit. we had to fab a lot of stuff. stroke it to 347 and it makes gobs more power too. you can get a cheap engine/trans/axle from a poopstang and spend about 6k on the kit. we were talkin about it yesterday with a prospective customer and figured if we had all the parts and the time to work all day on it we could do it in about 2 weeks now, but in spare time it takes well over a month. ours took a year but we ordered parts as we went. we have a built 351 and trans and it's somewhere over 30k worth of investment. lots of work but lots of fun too. new foci, stick with what they made. ;)

The kit alone is 6g's(minus motor, drivetrain). You don't need a $10,000 crate motor. It can be done for under 10g's.

in a word... no. It would be stupid to do anyways. If you really want a V-8 focus, find a used one. They are much cheaper to come by.
