Okay so I've found this one 2003 zetec ZX3 5 speed black with 28k miles for $9,999. It has several minor mods done to it. It has some kind of girly chrome bling style 17 inch rims with 205/40ZR17 tires (oops forgot to check what brand), it has a cold air intake that goes down by the bumper, a "fart can" exhaust tip, ground control lowering springs that appear to be adjustable, it's debadged, the only window that isn't tinted is 3/4 of the windshield, and it has some tacky looking fake carbon fiber dash stick ons.

The dish stick ons, window tint, rims, and exhaust tip are things I will most likely be taking off if I buy the car, and I might want to change the springs depending on other people's opinion of the ground control springs and how they compare to other ones including the ones in the SVT suspension kit. I'm assuming 205/40ZR17 tires will fit on ford racing rally rims, cuz then I won't have to get new tires too.

I haven't bought it yet because I think I should take it to a mechanic. I looked it over and thought that it looked fine. Is there anything I need to look for in particular? I think I'll probably offer $8,000 cash for it, what do you people think?

Are you buying this privately or from a dealership? Is there a warranty? With it so cheap and being such a good year/model I am a bit skeptical.

you kiddin me? this isnt that great of a deal! i got a 2003 zx5 with the premium package, 2.3L engine, non smokers package ,winter package and only 4000 miles on the ticker for $9500 cash. and this was over a year ago! yes i know i got an AWESOME deal but the one you are talkin about isnt all that great. i say keep lookin and im sure you can find something better...but then again thats up to you. i had a very wide area that i was searching in and ended up traveling 6 hours to get the car and we put it on a trailer and towed it home. i guess thats what you gotta do sometimes if you want a deal

Well, I was gonna offer $8,000 and see if they took it. It's a used car lot, and I also carfaxed the car and it came out clean. I was trying to find a good deal on an SVT for a while, but the only ones I could find for around $10,000 were salvaged titles. Anyway, I wasn't really asking if you guys thought the ZX3 I found was a good deal, I just wanted to know what you guys thought about the parts that are on it.

well if your saying you are gonna remove nearly all the parts anyway, then what does it matter what we think of them? and not to be rude...what would it matter what we think anyway? its gonna be YOUR car. you should have it look how YOU want it to. everything i have done to my car has been because i wanted to. some people dont like some of the stuff but I do and thats what matters good luck with the purchase tho. i wouldnt pay much more than 8 grand tho...

Well, haha, I'm sure that I do have different tastes than a lot of people on the board. Even someone said for example that ground control lowering springs suck, I might change them for another type and then find that I liked the ground control ones more it's true, I just hoping to see which ones people generally liked the best so that I can evaluate the parts based on what people who have experience with them say. But I guess that's going to be really hard to do.
