A friend of mine asked me. I'm not too sure. Anything to watch out for?

KBB lists that in my area for 10,900 from a Dealer, check for your locale.

By the book, I've only lost 1,000 on mine in 6 yrs. Decent small used cars are still in demand.

I purchased my 2011 SES a year ago practically brand new looking with 15860 miles on it for $10,250
Its has a salvage title due to a rear impact but was properly repaired and drives like a dream!.

So id say that price for a 2008 with that mileage is not a good deal at all. In all reality it should be in the 7,500 to 8,000 range in price. Another thing that really concerns me is with the history of suspension issues the focus has putting new tires on really raises a red flag with me!, what issues are they covering up as i know very well car dealers will only fix any given issue(s) enough to get the vehicle out the door even with a warranty and give a run around when it comes time to honor it.

Id stay away from this one, just a gut feeling!

I'd say its a little high. See if you can talk them down on price.

Just an SE with SYNC, nothing special.

A car like this with that low of mileage leads me to believe it was either rarely driven (unused for periods of time), towed behind an RV (where the miles counted are only the miles driven, not towed), or the previous owner/s had a short commute.

Don't know if you checked out the Carfax on the vehicle or not on the dealers web page but it has a few thing that are also of some concern and should be scrutinized carefully if you plan on purchasing.

2007
First owner
Type of owner Corporate
Estimated length of ownership 3 yrs. 5 mo.
Estimated miles driven per year 7,559/yr

Hasn't been driven much which is good but usually with company own vehicles they have had the crap beaten out of them by the employees driving them which if you look on the positive side can be a good thing as the car has proven to be reliable enduring harsh driving styles.

2011
Second owner
Type of owner Personal

"Just a DD? and what were the reasons for the second owner selling/trading the car in??!!, who knows??!!"

Things to scrutinize

11/17/2009 11,552 Colony Ford
Meriden, CT
203-238-1100
colonyford.com Maintenance inspection completed
Rear window run channel replaced/repaired
Rear door trim panel replaced/repaired
Front window run channel replaced/repaired

"I wonder what happened here??!!"

08/21/2010 Connecticut
Damage Report Accident reported
Involving front impact

"Oops!! check closely for any potential frame rail damage, internal broken or missing parts overlooked by the collision repair facility!!"

04/17/2014 47,727 Montesi Volkswagen
North Haven, CT
203-281-0481
montesivw.com Oil and filter changed
Ignition coil(s) replaced
Spark plug(s) replaced
Front brake pads and rotors replaced
Wiper(s) replaced

Granted Carfax has inaccuracies and maintenance has to be performed but regardless of these things id be scrutinizing all the aforementioned deficiencies with the vehicle, with a fine tooth comb!!! and if you're someone who likes to wrench on your own vehicles, dicker the price down 1500 to 2k from the list price if your able to and have fun!!!.
But i still maintain if your just looking for a DD and don't have time to do your own repairs and want something reliable i still question this potential purchase!

Just my two cents on the situation and take it for what you think its worth!!!

Seems decently priced. If it were a grand cheaper i'd say it would be spot on.
