Whew...that gave my thumbs a workout. Thanks for your elitist point of view. Ever hear of modding a car for sheer enjoyment or to make it more "you"? I don't believe that everything needs to be functional to add value. That being said I do not condone the use of autozone Hood scoops and fender vents. My car has an intake and exhaust and it's not a race car. I do it because I like to do it.

This x2.

Not every car has to be a performance beast. Not every mod has to be performance driven. What makes a car guy/girl is the desire to take an OEM platform and make it better in their own ways and use in life. As I'm sure you've noticed, many cars have been posted in this thread that the majority agreed was not a fail...

Someone whom wants an audiophile system is not wrong because their cat is now slower in the quarter mile. Most top-quality show cars have these performance-reducing mods specifically to help win shows. A quality car with mods in all categories show an attention to detail in all categories. If this were not the mentality of car shows, then only true race cars would win and they would suck to drive to work every day to and from work.

Anyways, back on topic. While it is a car fail, that is definitely a sponsorship win

If you actually read the post you would've seen that the point I was making was the whole "to each their own" mentality. While most tend to walk the path of autozone or follow the trend of "awesome" sticker bombs each can be viewed as "fails" just depends on who views it....
