Suspension mods

I love the way the foucs handles stock, and i have quite a bit of fun with it in parking lots and such. i am currently unemployed but i do have a lil cash saved up. what would be my best bet for getting better handeling out of my focus?

strut bars are cheapest thing you could do to improve handling, 17inch wheels with low profile rubber will give you big difference. The eibach pro kit is good. Coil-overs if you are really serious about handling.

strut bars are a "hey look ma, ain't dem purdy" kinda thing...all they really do is decrease some rear end creeking (rear stress bar) and look nice...the car is a unibody and the mounts r right near the firewall...

how much cash do you have saved up?...progress makes a rear sway bar...could always do svt...other than that, you have eibach which i have had for over 2 yrs and still love em...and i think H&R may have them...look around, theres more than just eibach...

for dampers/spring combo...u have quite a few selections for decent prices, but look for 500+ on most

seems like the best buy would be to get the svt suspension. i just bought the springs and new struts/shocks for total of 270 on ebay. don't think you can do that w/ eibach or comparable suspensions. then the rear sway bar is probably under 50. haven't put it in yet, so can't tell you how it is but just ask some svt people on here.

it drops it about .5" to 1" (definatley noticable, just look at svt's, yet it's still good in the winters and you don't have to worry about it as much as the 2" drops - speedbumps, bottoming out, etc.). and from what i hear there's a big improvement in handling.

Stiffer springs and shocks, and a 21mm rear sway bar.
