It's a goofy deal, too. If the latch/lock assembly "looks" ok, they'll just grease it and put on a sticker. Who DOESN'T lube the hinges and latches now and again? Seems like regular maintenance to me.

I've heard about some people complaining about rust on the rear hatch too.

Well, I have a 2003 and looked at mine and no rust or corrosion.

Man these people here at my job really need to get a ******g a life, I heard all morning long, look at your re-call on your Focus, hahahahahaha blah blah blah, and all it is is some latch. Get a life all you Ford hatters. Sorry, but I get this BS everyday on how we are dumb for driving a Ford and you know how that goes, all of us get it at one point in time and shit, it gets annoying here, I get it every ******g day! Yes, I am venting, anyway it's like they live everyday to make fun of Fords, get a life!! arrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhh.
