Dilemma

So I'm about to purchase a 2009 ford focus ses in Columbus Ohio but the only problem is that I'm in MN and don't have any way to check it out to make sure it doesn't have any problems. Does anyone have any recommendations or know anyone in Columbus that wouldn't mind checking this thing out for me? I really don't want to have it shipped to my home to find out that I'm going to have to throw more money into it.

Drive down and look at it.
I drove 17 hours one way to look at mine. If I didn't like it I was prepared to drive home with nothing.
I don't trust anyone's opinion but my own. After all, it's my money.

Yeah, plus it's summer ( well close enough for me), so there is a few things to do around Columbus, make a family weekend for it or something :P

AFAIK It's allot cheaper to check it out yourself than to ship it ;)

What's so special about it that you can't find the same thing local?

It is a 2009 coupe ses and I haven't had much luck finding any that I like in my area. Plus, it is at a great price.

I dont think i could buy a car sight unseen. It being a 2009, second year for the 2nd gens with not much changing other than the interior and sheet metal from the 2005's, it should be a decent car. As long as the previous owner took ok care of it, there shouldnt be too much to worry about. Just normal wear items based on mileage.

I am not confident enough in my mechanical skills to check out a car, otherwise i would volunteer.

Well, when there at a great price, that's when you really want to check them out. Plus, is it still a great price when your all said and done after all the running around to get it in your driveway.

It's definitely not the worse thing you can do, but just be careful that you don't get caught somewhere wasting your time and money.
