Need advise on what to ask for my 03 SVT going on the market

Let me start by saying that I love my SVT. The 10 miles to and from work are the best part of my day. I am pissed that I have to part with the best sports sedan this side of an M3.

I am hoping to find out what street prices are in Southern California so I won't wast time on my ads. It's a silver 03 3door, red interior, all stock, 7700 miles one year old this month. Not a scratch, dent or ding on it. As clean as when new a year ago. Reason, divorce what else. Any one familiar with Southern California Focus SVT private party prices?

A not so happy camper,
Kermit

Thanks I will.

How's the used SVT market now? I think I owe a lot more than it's worth. Do SVT's sell quickly? Is the market better or worst in So Cal?

I like the idea of getting rid of the wife but not my car.

Sorry to hear about it.

I am actually looking at buying a black '03 SVT with 7000 miles on it. The dealership wants $14,000 for it. I saw another '03 SVT with higher miles for $13,000. I hope that helps.

Thanks Turtle that pretty much gives me a good idea and seems close to Kelly Blue's prices.

Still wondering if I can give up something else and hang on to my beloved SVT. God I like my car. Maybe I can deal with wife for something else, what do I need a bed for anyways. It could be worst as there are no kiddies to bargain for. Thanks again, you guys are a great bunch.

The market is gettin gbetter for SVTFs because of Ford stopping production and because the word is out that it is a nice handling, stopping, and rather quick little car straighto out of the box.

Thanks guys. I don't get it. The Focus SVT is a hell of a car and handles like a dream. so why aren't enthusiasts beating Ford's door down to get them. I know I felt that way when it was time to plunk down my deposit, after lots of planning, saving and reading all your posts. I can't believe Ford is dropping their best handling small car!

About the wife, no sweat. I saw this coming long ago and am actually relieved. What pisses me off a lot more is losing my ride and a lot of other stuff I worked hard to get. I will keep working on a plan to keep the SVT if at all possible.

Thanks for your encouragement and support.

hell, a last resort is you could either flip down the seats on your car or take 'em out and put a matress in, there's your answer for a bed lol.

good luck on everything else though, hope it works out for the best

Yeah, have you ever seen Saturday night live?

You could be an insperational speaker, say "well thats because I live in a FOCUS SVT down by the river ! "

The only thing I can figure out is that ford's becoming buddy buddy with drug companies and all the key players at ford get free perscriptions that or the mexican assembly plant shut down.
