That really rings true here in Colorado as when i was shopping for one I was finding them still in the mid the $35k range with nearly 10,000 miles on them but I lucked out and found one down in NM (3800 miles,Cobb Access tuner stage 1 reflash) in pristine shape for $32k plus a plane ticket.

that is awesome!! i would love one of those but i don't think i will ever have one. I like the four door. since they are getting rid of it i think the car looses a bit of its versatility.

That is a fascinating and, IMO, gorgeous concept. But being Subaru, the production car will look nothing at all like that, and instead be awkwardly hideous.

BTW I know this thread got bumped back up so it's old but... I see the Maxima too.

Eh... why do companies take good cars and put a back seat in them, or 4 drs? I guess it all started with Porsche when the 911 just had to have a back seat in the 80s, or maybe it was those stupid looking limo versions of the 280z. The WRX started out as a punked family sedan, so I get that. It has evolved into it's own car, give it it's own body style.

I miss the days when auto companies did things that were really daring- like 4wd mid engined 2 seaters. Now we accept 4dr 5 seat performance vehicles like things are supposed to be that way.

There's still plenty of unpractical two seaters just for the sport of things but when a car company needs to make money they need to meld the two ways of thinking so you get a more practical line of sporty cars which includes more doors and seats.
