Acura TL Or Infinity G35 Sedan

Ok...one of my store managers is debating between these 2 cars to buy very soon.

We always talk about cars so he asked me my opinion and I went to say the Acura fully loaded. But told him I should ask other peoples opinions. So I am asking my Foci people..:)

Both would be fully loaded and can not go over $38k.

Inifnity G35 Sedan:
  • HP
    260

    Torque
    260

    0 to 60 (seconds): 6.2

    Key Features
    # 3.5L DOHC 24-valve V6
    # Variable Valve Timing
    # Front-engine, rear-wheel drive
    # Independent multi-link suspension
    # 4-wheel power assisted anti-lock braking
    # Vehicle speed-sensitive power steering
    # Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)
    # Traction control
    # Cruise Control

Acura TL:
  • Aluminum Alloy 3.2-liter, 24-Valve, SOHC VTEC™V-6
    Displacement (liters)3.2
    Horsepower (SAE net):
    270 bhp @ 6200 rpm

    Torque:
    238 lbs-ft @ 5000 rpm

    Redline:6800 rpm

    Compression Ratio:11.0:1

    Fuel Injection:Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI)

    Ignition:Electronic direct

Which one and why?

Peace...

The infinit hands down in my book. The infiniti has much better torque than any honda engine and it is also RWD instead of front. And it has the AWD feature that kicks in when you start losing traction.

does it have to be the 4-door sedan of the G35? If not Id say the G35. If its gotta be 4 door then Id go with the TL. I love its new ass lol Plus I've had a lot of seat time (passenger and driver) in the TL and that thing gets nasty with just a Mugen chip and intake. An automatic chirpping third with 4 people makes me believe the torque is fine in them lol And that was in a 2000 model TL. Plus you cant beat its top end. Floor it going 80 and its a smoooooth ride all the way to 140-150 lol

But isn't the Acura AWD?

Def makes a difference here in Virginia with the snow and stupid drivers in the rain.

Vasilli... the RL has SH-AWD (Super Handling...). The RL is the cream of the crop for Acura. Independant sensors in each of the tires to monitor the grip and move power to the needed tires. The TL is just FWD but with double wishbone front and rear suspension, 11.8 up front and 11.1 in rear disk brakes (vented Brembo), Vehicle Stability Assist, traction control, and abs. Plus you can get the A-Spec upgrade, finding that info now...

2005 Acura TL A-SPEC Kit
------------------------------------

"The Acura A-SPEC kit is a complete dealer installed accessory package that addresses the demands of performance enthusiasts by providing enhanced handling, aggressive looks, quality and durability. The Acura TL A-SPEC kit includes a suspension package, 18-inch alloy wheels, high-performance brake pads for the automatic transmission model, an aero kit and a sport steering wheel.

The suspension package features track-tuned shocks and springs that lower the car approximately one inch.

The A-SPEC kit also includes 18-inch alloy wheels, which are shod with high performance AVS ES100 235/40VR18 95W Yokohama tires designed specifically for the TL A-SPEC kit.

While the 2005 TL with 6-speed manual transmission features powerful 4-piston Brembo® front brakes, the A-SPEC kit for automatic transmission-equipped models includes high-performance brake pads.

The package also comes equipped with an aero kit that includes either a deck lid or rear wing spoiler.

To learn more, please contact your Acura dealer."

I always liked Hondas body kits. They are aggressive looking yet they still maintain that "clean look". I love my friends TL just because it looks just that, very clean yet looking at it from a distance in the front or from the side, it just looks very aggressive without having extreme body panels.

if you want that, wait for the GT350

I have a few oriental friends that visit overseas once in a while and they say the G35 here is still nothing like the Skyline over there.

but i cant complain, the 2 door G35 on some dipdish 18's lowered about an inch in that awesome blue makes me wanna cream my pants lol Im just not fond of the 4-door version, it has to be 2-door for me, but thats my opinion
