New Kia Spectra5 has more power than Focus

It's a sad day.

A stock Kia Spectra5 has more HP/TQ than a stock Focus.
Also has disk brakes on the rear.

It looks about as ugly as a Mazda3 too.

Damn stationwagon wannabe hatchback...

Yep, I saw that on SpeedTV.

Another reason for me to stay completely stock on the exterior. Now I will have Spectra 5s try to test me. They'll see what 130 wtq makes them want to try again..:)

Paz...

thats no biggie. Id like to see what the gearing is on it plus you do realize its a KIA. I think the most I'd expect to see (performance-wise) in the aftermarket would be an intake and exhaust system... whoopdy-effing-doo!

It's just sad that Kia will step up to the tuner market but Ford says, Noooooooooooo, we have the Mustang. We don't need another high performance car...
Come on Ford, get with the program before we get left in the dust by a Kia...

yeah, i will agree, ford is shooting itself in the foot right now. They brought out the SVTF for the sole purpose of competing in the sport compact market, then they pull the plug on something that could have been huge. I sure as hell know if they woulda upped the power in the SVTF I would seriously be looking at one. Along with a few of my friends who I've impressed with it.

List of things to do:

1. Cut off my left one.
2. Never own a car again.
3. Get a sex change.
4. Buy a Kia.

You see where I stand.

:) You also can't forget about the Sturn Ion Redline, and the Suzuki Aerio has had consistenlty more hp than the Focus. I think the latest TV ads peg it at 155hp or something.

We're talking about Kia here. There's nothing lower in cost except maybe a Yugo...
