Ford Focus SE Losing Hubcaps?

Bought Focus off the showroom floor December 26th 2011.

Lost passenger side hubcap June 2012- replacement cost 30+ dollars....

Now end of Aug. 2012, the drivers side is missing a hubcap???

This is my wifes car. There are no scuff marks on the sidewall of the tire, so I dont think she brushed a curb or anything.

I live in a decent neighborhood - I dont think they were stolen.

Is anyone else having problems losing hubcaps on the 2012 Focus SE? Maybe this is a manufactures defect?

Its ticking me off - guess I need to just buy alloy rims - because at 30 bucks a pop - this sucks!

Haven't heard too much about this yet, and I work at a dealer. But you should count yourself lucky, The hubcaps on the Fusions are like 80 bucks a piece.

If they're like these: http://www.ineedahubcap.com/Merchant.../07059-ams.jpg
then they're screw in with the lug nuts, if they fall off, it's a serious problem

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog....etic630opt.jpg these are snapon, and are prone to fall off

Is she taking part in Hollywood car chases?

Seriously though, I haven't heard of this before. Interesting.

That is what I was thinking. Does she like to go fast in the corners? Wheel flex is what will pop them off most of the time.

+1. Or rock the "cop" look for a while.

People used to steal the caps on my sister's Impala all the time.
