2013 Lincoln MKS V8?!

This was one of those "interactive" brochure channels on the tv for the 2013 Lincoln MKS:

The thing that surprised me most was the Ecoboost "V8" option

Ford, if you need a Content Editor please PM me, I'll happily provide you with my CV.

Ecoboost V8??? ha! you mean the one that was rumored for the GT500!?? i say how about just stick the F150 version of the Coyote 5.0L in there & bump the HP up from 360 but below the Mustangs 420.... if they're willing to convert the MKS to a RWD set up.

It'll be hard sell to the Mustang & Corvette fans to replace their V8s with turbo V6s. But I bet they try it.

V6 from the information that is available. 2.5L and 2.7L ecoboost engines have been reported. They are supposedly going to be replacements for the 3.5 and 3.7 NA engines. By 2016 the CAFE standards go up to 30 mpg, and the current Duratec won't cut it anymore. Look for small turbo V6 engines to be in anything from a Taurus to F-150. I dream of a Fusion SHO wagon....but we all know how likely that is to happen.

It's safe to assume it will be a V6. Not many four cylinders are over 2.5L and if these engines are four cylinders they have a very low red line due to the amount of vibrations they produce.
