Newbie question - stereo upgrade

I recently bought a Focus Titanium 1.6 - pics here:

I love the car, and the audio, but there are some things about the user interface for the Sony audio unit which are bothering me.

1) The LED display is very limited. Almost every MP3 on my stick has a longer title and/or artist name than will fit on the display. Pressing the 'info' button for every track is very annoying.

2) The accessibility of the 'on/off' button is not good. It blends in with the other buttons and forces you to look down at the panel instead of just reaching out to it, like you would with a volume knob.

3) The LED display is extremely low resolution, and the text is very chunky and looks dated, like something from the early 90's. There is also no chance of any graphics - album art, or whatever.

4) The main problem is the lack of raised buttons for volume and power. As mentioned in #2 above, I'm really not liking the way it forces me to look down to find the buttons, as they're not reachable by touch alone. Having to take my eyes off the road to switch the radio on/off is a pain.

So, to the point! I want to upgrade the head unit. (is that the right name for it?). And I want your opinion on what I could do, to get a better experience on the above points.

What I have in mind is this:

What do you think? Would this be a good choice or is there something better?
