Plastic Welding... anyone with some insight?!

I need to make the EDM corners I got for a rear bumper work with an American rear bumper... but I'm not sure how to bond/mould the plastics together so I can sand and shape them to look uniform!

Anyone done this before that could point me at an appropriate product to achieve this?

It's very difficult to do and make it look good. I plastic welded new tabs for the grill I bought at the junkyard. They work but they are not pretty.

Did you use fiberglass, plastic-weld, or what?

the ugly-side of the bumper can stay crappy; it's the side with paint that has to look good!

I found this video informative, I want to repair the cracks in my bumper. I just cut off some bumper samples at the JY the other day, the original material is the best stuff to weld with I think. They have hot air and non-hot air plastic welders at Harbor freight.

The grill I just bought from the UK arrived broken so I glued and plastic welded it together. I used a 25w soldering iron for it, a real plastic welder would've been too hot and too big IMO. My euro console had two screw holes in it and I welded them shut. If you take your time you can get it right.

That's plastic-weld. I used the plastic weld hot iron thing (don't know what it's called) to melt the plastic together then laid some stainless mesh and melted some plastic on top of that. I probably could have done a better/cleaner job, but this was just to get a usually hidden grill mounted under the hood.

I assume that with some patience and sanding it could be done.

I don't know how to do this, but I am very interested to see how this comes out.
