Tint- what % do you have?

So I am getting my windows tinted on Friday. I am trying to decide what shade I want on the front windows.

I have decided on 20% on the rear three, just can't decide if I want 20% or 35% on the front.
I will be having my windshield done in a couple weeks at 50% so that needs to be a factor in how dark I go on the front sides. I will still need to drive the car at night, lol. (I have to register my prescription with the SoS for the windshield I guess)

Thanks for you input!

Edited to add, I have a tan ride now.

50% on the doors and 15% on the rears...none on the windshield

Looks much lighter/darker depending on the day and lighting, look in my profile for other pictures of the tint. I like the tint on the rears best at night; no longer completely blinded by drivers of SUVs and trucks. Only time you may have an issue with it being too dark is backing up on unlit streets.

Go 20% on the sides front and back since a different percentage on the fronts doesn't look right. With my 20% I also did 15% on the back and on the sunroof we did 15% which coupled with the factory tint made it really dark.

I'd go lighter on the front half. MSP will ticket you regardless of prescription. It sucks, but it is what it is.

I'll probably go 50% on the front three IF I even do it...rears will go pretty dark. I just don't care to get lit up all the time by MSP.

IDK about MI but I have never been pulled for it. If you see a cop just roll the windows down

How bad are cops in your areas? In Colorado you have to be asking for it during a stop to get ticketed for tint. I've had 15-20% on all my cars for 20 years and I've been pulled over about 25 times (all speeding) and I never failed to roll down my windows on the driver's side and have all my paperwork ready and hands on the wheel when the officer approached and never even had a mention of tint or even a front plate for that matter which we are required to have also. Colorado doesn't have traffic Nazis running the CSP.

I don't even know if you can get pulled over specifically for tint in Ohio but i just much rather not even have to worry about being hassled. I kept mine perfectly legal. I would have probably gone to 35% on the doors if I had to redo it and Ohio didnt care. I would also enjoyed going with a very mild tint on the windshield but the law says only the strip is allowed so I didn't bother

Haha, Joey, nice to see you here. The tint place told me I have to take my prescription to SoS and they will add notation to my "file" so it will come up if LEO pulls my plate.

Michigan law says only tint on the rear half. Front with prescription only, however I know of people getting pulled over ONLY for tint.

Thanks for all the replies. I dig the photo evidence.
