[:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]! The Ford focus.

Since I've since I've had mine, I've had to replace the engine, clutch, and now intake manifold. That's over 3000 dollars in repairs on a 6 year old car!!!! I will NEVER buy another ford again!! I'd rather WALK TO WORK EVERY DAY!!! THIS GOD DAMN CAR HAS DAMN NEAR BANKRUPTED ME.

that's alright. This country's full of suckers like me who will continue to buy their garbage, so the company will manage to stay afloat.

Sorry to hear that you have had so many problems, that does seem like quite a heavy chunk for such a young car..

To be honest though... the duratec engines are reliable as hell. Ive got a neighbor with a 2005 that has nearly 200k on the clock, and he beats on it like I would beat on a $100 junkyard honda.

Either you are driving the car hard and doing no maintenance, bought a lemon, or your mechanic is terrible.

Good luck with whatever car you choose to go with next!

I love ford. Sorry to hear about your problems. From personal experience of you are taking it to a shop they may be steering you wrong. It is hard to find an honest mechanic out there. That's why I learned how to work on cars myself.

Quoted for truth. Basically what I was going to say. Some have tons of luck with the focus and other don't. I'm sure every manufacturer has shitty cars go through the factory

I have 140k on mine, owned since 5 miles. Until recently, I never had a big ticket item that required a repair. In the last 10k miles or so I've had to do CV axles, and I expect a clutch job in the next 20k miles or so.

I love Mazda RX7s. I've owned a few. I had one that I bought from a really hot chick- when I drove it, everything seemed ok. Once I bought it, things started happening, and I noticed problems that I didn't notice when test driving. That car had problems for as long as I owned it. It never ran right, I had to work on it constantly, and believe me I know how to work on my own vehicles. Some cars are just problem vehicles.

Anyone can build a good car, and anyone can build a lemon. You'll realize that as you try out new manufacturers.

Dear matmatician:

Your mechanic, was it a Ford dealership or an independent?

Why did the engine need replacing? e.g rod broke thru engine block etc etc
