an idea .. stupid, or interesting?

well being bored as fk, and doing what I always do, which is look for new things to do with my car, I realized a lot of cars do have turn signals on the side of there bumpers/cars.. I was thinking of painting the bumper signals on the sides to match the car/ the same color of my car (white). I have them currently tinted nicely which looks okay, but just a thought. I may even look into euro fenders... what do you guys think?

By the sounds of it,
I'll second the hood.

And FWIW, and now I can't find the exact document I want but ... if you Google "Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards; Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment" you might find the rule I can't. And in it it explains the number of allowed lamps/reflectors every motor vehicle on the road should have (and most times state laws follow the federal laws; which for the most part are decided by the SAE). Simply put, there is a good reason why automakers put side markers on cars.

In Europe the standard/law is different and that is why theirs are back on the fender vs near the bumper for the US market. Just a guess but I've say the euro ones and back further because it's easier to differentiate a blinking lamp from a constantly lit one.
