What would you do

Well for one I hope this is the right section to talk about this, if not mods please move it.

I drive an 03 zx3 and Im way over do for a new struts.
Now im looking for a performance upgrade and Im quite sure I don't want to go with the garbage auto zone 25 dollar a piece ones.

Im looking for maybe an inch to an inch and a half drop and maybe a little stiffer, I don't want to go so low I have camber issues and I live in the snow belt and constantly drive on awful roads so slamming it to the ground is out of the question

I figure I want to drop about 200 dollars on it is there even a viable option out there for me at this price range?

I figure if I go with a different shock I might be able to buy lowering springs I know everyone says no to lowering springs but would it be different with different struts?

let me know what you guys think.

SVT suspension kit is what you need. Last time I bought mine years ago it was a tad over 200 bucks, I think it was 210. It comes with the springs, shocks, struts, and even the rear sway bar. It is by far the best compromise between handle and looks. It will only drop you .5" though sometime a little more once the springs settle. It will easily handle your needs, it handle my rail road jumpin' lol. If you want to go lower you'll have to spend more money in buying the springs and the struts and shocks to go with it.

He needs struts and shocks. Yes he can buy almost any springs for 200 bucks or less. But his main problem is the struts. Only combo I know of that cheap is the SVT kit. Oh there is set of Rousch springs, struts and shock combo for sell in the buy/sell fourm. I'll see if I can find it real quick.

Found it here you go, seems like a good deal, low mileage and should fit in your budget.

FS/FT: Roush shocks/struts and springs

yea go SVT strut spring and shock kit, they are 250 at most online. otherwise if you want to go any more lower you're looking at about 400+ for anything decent. eibach is a good one, i have them on my car and have no problem with them

The Roush deal doesn't seem too too bad.

Yeah you can find the SVT suspension for is $250ish and it comes with a rear sway bar. You'll probably want the matching front sway bar if you install it... or you could sell the RSB for a few bucks to recoup your cost. I think the preassembled suspension kit was like $280, It's been awhile since I looked this up.

The front sway bar is not needed to go with it. I would install the rear bar since it is bigger than the stock one. SVT suspension kit = WIN!!

i actually still have my front SVT sway bar if you want it, i changed my front out for eibach sway bars to match my sportline kit of springs struts and shocks so i'm eibached out. my front bar is the only part left i still have from my SVT suspension, let me know if you want it, otherwise i've thought about putting it for sale on here

Actualy I dont need a combo I just need struts I was wondering if I could go with a certain strut so in the future I could buy better springs to lower it on down. for 200 could I get new struts keep the same stock springs and notice a drop or performance gain
