What happened to the f2 focus?

I remember back in 2010 when I was shopping for an ST I saw this car (99 percent sure it was this one) for sale for about 12k or so. Does anyone know what happened to it and also has anyone else done the twin turbo setup?

That car would have been interesting to drive... Kinda seems a little overkill in my opinion, but still an amazing setup.

Sure the TT "looked" cool, but to me the wide-body sedan is what's amazing! I can never figure out why the hell that didn't catch on? I'm not a sedan guy, but I'd be all over that.

IIRC, car was parted out.
I also don't recall that it ever ran or ran properly.

And with today's turbo technology, compound setups are rather pointless IMO. The only cases where it does make sense is if you have some serious rev range that you need TQ in; but that's more road racing than drag racing.

That was a compound setup? Doesn't look like it to me. Compound is far from pointless.

IMO, if you can afford a compound turbo setup, you can afford a close ratio gearset so you don't need a super wide powerband.

Not that surprising it never worked out right. Even with aftermarket engine parts, there's only so much you're going to get out of a 2.3 liter 4-banger. 350hp is bit much to ask for with any sense of stability. Of course rally cars are built for more power than that, but they practically get engine rebuilds between races. Also anything more than 220hp to the front wheels results in crazy torque steer- my fwd 96 Deville with a 300hp v8 was nearly impossible to keep straight when floored.

There are at least a few really high HP 2.0 builds in the Evo world. Here's an example.
