I wish the Acura name would die, no one else but the US and Canada use it. Every other country in the world calls it a HONDA NSX.

whats wrong with hybrid? I mean its going to be all wheel drive and have electric motors powering the front wheels, that means some other motor will be powering the rear wheels.

I doubt it will be beastly like the 918 from porsche but it has a chance to be fast. In Porche's case, its electric motors give it an extra 200hp to the front wheels, in addition to the 500 at the rear. I'd take the extra (bonus!) electric power to the front wheels (fan of torque anyone?) any day. Just my way of looking at it...

looks like a sharp car, wonder how much will change from now until production?

I think it's a great to bring out new technologies. Hybrid does not always mean slow. This is not the first mention of a hybrid supercar or race car. This comes to mind:

http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2011...ybrid-racecar/

And I'm particularly impressed with their version of LSD. Rather than using LSD to limit torque on the inside wheels in a turn, they're adding a separate electric motor to both front wheels to either add negative torque on the inside wheel or add positive torque on the outside wheel. I assume there are other applications to these motors as well.

I'm curious to know if they will actually be able to keep the car light weight with batteries in the car. That will be difficult no matter how much (or little) composite material they use. A supercar with a V6 must be light.

I think it looks good except for that Acura grille. WTF you make a sharp supercar and then throw the same grille you use on your unsuccesful Acura styling with the chrome smile/trapezoidal/polygon shape with the thick line across the middle. Lexus made a more exciting statement with their LFA. Though the shape of this NSX is fine.

Well I just read in the paper they are going to be building this here in ohio. Honda is going to build a whole new plant for it and it's all going to happen in the next three years. They are keeping it a secret as to where in ohio and how many new jobs they will hire for. Right now all the current honda plants in Ohio are close together three of them are with in a 20 min drive from my house the other is about 35-40 mins away.
