Possible Prius C leaked photos.

Article details here.

Normally I hate anything that has to do with the Prius or hybrids in general. But I gotta hand it to Toyota, this hatchback design doesn't look half bad! Get rid of the tacky pinwheel style alloy wheels and I think it would have some potential. For once it's a hybrid that doesn't look too hideous. And if it hits the rumored $20k price mark then it won't be ridiculously overpriced either.

That one actually looks good, but its still a Prius. They should just slap a diesel in it and call it a Matrix or a Yaris depending on the actual size.

Not bad looking at all. If it had a stick, I'd have to take a look at it - but it won't, of course, so I won't...

Posted via FF Mobile Theres that weird new prius commerical with the four models, one of them is the small one. Looks like it will be a Crz fighter to me. The Prius mini mini van will probably be the next big winner and is why, at least what I believe, is the reason why Ford decided to make the Ford Cmax come to america exclusively as a hybrid and plug in hybrid. Should be an interesting battle. I welcome it, why, because I see these selling mostly to families and "soccer moms" to drive their kids to school in. We have enough giant suvs and these small mpvs are significantly smaller, and obvioulsy more fuel efficient.

Odd that the wheels look so much like windmills. A lot of air churning for an eco-miler car....

Looks like a somewhat more aggressively-styled Hyundai Accent. And that commercial with the people making up a giant person creeps me out.

Both C-Max versions for the NA market have more in common with 5 door hatches than mini-vans since they scrapped the idea of the Grand C-Max with it's sliding doors. I'm no longer impressed or considering a C-Max, there's really no advantage to it.

As usual, Ford is behind the curve, not ahead of the curve. They license Toyota's hyrbid tech instead of using PNGV tech that US taxpayers paid to develop. The C-Max will be released around the same time as the Prius V. I agree they have made improvements to Toyota's tech by extending the range of the Fusion in full electric mode, but I fail to see the advantages over PNGV tech like the Volt. I'm curious to see what the hybrid trucks bring, but since the F-150 and Tundra will be released around the same time- what's the big dealio?

About the only vehicle that they were ahead of the curve with was the Escape Hybrid, but it didn't outsell the Prius regardless of how well the rest of that segment was doing people just aren't that excited about a $35k+ hybrid mini-SUV.

It doesn't look too bad though. I could never really get over the old shape I found it weird.

This might sound weird but I think trucks and SUVs have the potential to be an awesome platform for hybrid/electric technology. Considering the fact that the American market is still fearful of embracing turbodiesels, the next best thing is to slap an electric motor onto the sucker.

For those that don't know, electric motors provide instant torque... and lots of it. However today's examples (minus the Tesla Roadster) aren't exactly speed demons because the torque is intentionally limited to prevent massive battery drain and excessive wheel spin. But just as an example, that ugly and dinky Nissan Leaf car could technically unleash 207 lb-ft of torque.

With a big enough battery and a better regulation system, I can imagine a pickup truck that applies incredible amount of torque only when it's needed. Perfect for hauling or pulling cargo on uneven surfaces, without the gigantic gas bill at the end of the day. I remember a pickup owner telling me that he would spend $120 to fill up on gas every week... and that was back in 2008. I don't know how the hell people afford these things.
