How do I fix a possible PATS no start

I bought a used 2003 ZX3 back in Feb 11. It's been a pretty nice car and fun to drive. However, my daughter drove the car home yesterday and now the car will not start. The security light flashes real fast for a minute or so, then flashes once, then 3 times and 1:3 a few times more.

The problem is I received only one PATS key and one none PATS key (only works on doors) when I purchased the car.

What do I do now that none of the keys work?

Why does the key suddenly not work?

Try turning the key from off to run 3 times in succession. You should hear a "ding".
If it worked the key should start the car again.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
You can also try turning the car to run and letting it sit there for 30+ seconds then try to start the car.

I think that problem has something to do with either the key not transmitting or the ring around the ignition not receiving the key signal..

Either way sadly in involves a trip to Ford, because when that system fails completely you will be sick.
